I’ve been teaching for 12 years. This 2018-2019 will be my 13th year teaching at Garfield.

What Strengths Do You Bring To Your Profession?

I have learned a lot about Autism from my years of teaching. I have participated in a variety of professional developments, workshops, meetings and observations that have given me a better insight on the needs of students with Autism. I have learned to be patient, but persistent with my expectations. I have learned and implemented specific strategies that help accommodate their special needs to optimize their learning.  I am dedicated to my students and provide them with the care and support they need to succeed.

What Do You Like Most About Garfield?

Garfield has a great view of the city below, which is very beautiful to see as I come to work everyday. I like the location the most.

Describe Your Ideal Day Off:

I would love to wake up at least 2 hours later than usual. Enjoy a quiet and hot breakfast at my own pace and not have to rush. Do a few cleaning up chores around the house. Maybe I’d bake something sweet to eat. Then just relax and enjoy watching some movies or catching up on TV shows.
