general education Classes 

Garfield general education classes for grades K-5 follow the SFUSD Common Core curriculum. The Garfield school vision is that every child will develop positive self-esteem; be a life-long learner; achieve academic, personal and vocational success at all stages of life; and have a strong sense of personal and civic responsibility.

There is one classroom per grade with one 4th/5th blended classroom for the general education program. The focus is on literacy and social-emotional growth.
